Lincoln Fashion Week is in full swing and excitement is reaching fever pitch ahead of a glittering catwalk finale on Friday 5th May.

Today, organiser Lincoln BIG urged fashion-lovers to ensure they catch the action over the next three days of Lincoln Fashion Week. Only a limited number of tickets now available for the end-of-the-week show.

It takes place at Alive Church in Newland and tickets are still available from our pop-up box offices and online on the Visit Lincoln website. VIP tickets have been sponsored by Lincolnshire Co-op and the Wig & Mitre.

The pop-up boxes are stationed in the Waterside Shopping Centre (May 3), at Debenhams, at St Mark’s Shopping Centre, on Thursday (May 4) and at the Visitor Information Centre in Castle Hill on Friday (May 5).  All will be open from 11am to 3pm.

Tomorrow (Thursday, May 4), there’s the chance to check out the latest in hairstyling by popping along to a demonstration by Talking Heads. It takes place in the Waterside Shopping Centre from 11am to 1pm.

Marks & Spencer is staging a fashion show preview afternoon in its High Street store, between 4pm and 6pm. People can also enjoy a food tasting session, with a glass of fizz.

Fashion savvy teenagers won’t want to miss Prom Night at Debenhams on Thursday, which runs from 5pm to 8pm.

Lincoln BIG Head of Fashion Week Jessica Wickham said: “We’re having a really brilliant fashion extravaganza, but no fashion conscious young men and women should our miss Prom Night – and the chance to arrive at their own Prom in true Oscars-style!

“There’s a chance for one young man and woman to each win a fabulous outfit worth more than £150, as well as hairstyling vouchers from Talking Heads. This will be a real Red Carpet-style event with music and entertainment. Dave’s Limos will also be on hand.”

Prom Night is FREE to attend. People must get a ticket from Eventbrite.

“We hope everyone will make the most of the rest of this week’s events. We want to see more people carrying our special tote bags – which have been getting snapped-up like hot cakes,” said Jessica.

Lincoln Fashion Week kicked-off last Friday (April 28) with our models and others from Merry Macs (Macmillan Cancer Support) taking part in a Live Mannequin Display with retailers including the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice Shop, Marks & Spencer, Primark, New Look, Next, Roman and Debenhams.

Debenhams also hosted a highly successful children’s fashion event on Monday (May 1), when mini models took to the catwalk in the store’s restaurant to showcase the latest summer trends from Mamas and Papas, Mothercare, Primark, Debenhams and Trespass.

Dancers from Lilac Theatre Dance also performed a special routine and wowed the crowds with their slick moves.

The Waterside Shopping Centre is Lincoln Fashion Week’s key sponsor. Others include St Marks Shopping Centre and Virgin Trains East Coast – which provided free First Class travel from Lincoln to London for our models, retailers and buyers to attend the London Fashion Week Festival on a fact-finding mission ahead of this special week.
