Lincoln Fashion Week 2018 is returning for its third-year, promising to be the best Fashion Week yet packed with fabulous events for all the family. We asked George Burton, Lincoln Fashion Week Digital Marketing Intern, to tell us about five events you definitely should not miss!
Live Mannequin Display
Friday 4th May; 12pm – 1pm; Primark, Waterside Shopping Centre, M&S and more; free
Retailers across Lincoln City Centre will be swapping their mannequins for models to strike a pose in their shop windows! Watch as mannequins turn to models in the shop windows in order to style the latest fashions to passing spectators, this unique spectacle is not to be missed.
Plus head into the City Centre and find one of the Fashion Week team, or visit one of the Fashion Week retailers to collect your very own Lincoln Fashion Week tote bag full of exclusive offers and goodies that you’ll find nowhere else.
Ball Room Boutique
Friday 4th – Friday 11th May; 9am – 5:30pm; Waterside Shopping Centre; free.
Practice your drawing skills and technique at this free, drop in fashion life drawing session at the Usher Gallery.
You will have the chance to take part in a life drawing session offering you the opportunity to draw from life using that artistic flare inside of you. Whether or not you are a seasoned professional or an amateur to the arts, every ability is welcome to this drop in session.
Children’s Fashion Event
Monday 7th May; 11am – 3pm; Debenhams; free.
Discover Lincoln’s range of children’s fashion including clothing, accessories and shoes from newborn to young teen. Lincoln Fashion Week is not just for the professionals and adults – it’s for the young ones too!
This event allows your little ones to take part in modelling some of this year’s styles and trends whilst allowing you to beam with pride at the adorable show that they put on.
Lincoln Fashion Week Finale
Friday 11th May; 7pm – 10pm; ALIVE Church; £12/£18/£24
The Finale Catwalk will showcase the latest fashion and biggest trends of summer 2018 with an aviation twist – fundraising for charity partner Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.
All tickets include a glass of bubbly on arrival, access to the finale catwalk show, an exclusive Lincoln Fashion Week tote bag, plus queue jump and free entry before 11pm to the official aftershow party at The Scene. The evening is a true must-not-miss, hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenters Scott Dalton and Carla Greene.
